Galvanized authors and WME clients Maria Menounos (The EveryGirl’s Guide to Diet and Fitness) and Candice Kumai (Clean Green Drinks) hit up Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Swim in Miami in mid July to meet fans and spread the word on their hot new bikini-body books.
The pop-up bookstore event was the first iteration of WME’s Gimme Books project — a novel idea that comes on the heels of the agency’s acquisition of fashion and sports giant IMG. Taking full advantage of the agencies’ combined clientele and event portfolio, Gimme Books will feature signings by author-clients at all WME and IMG events going forward, including Fashion Week and Wimbledon.
